Brian E. Hill was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Wisconsin. He earned his Masters Degree from Arizona State University. Brian began his writing career while still in college, when he sold an article that became the cover story for a national sports magazine. In the last four years, he has co-authored three non-fiction books on the exciting subject of “success” including The Making of a Bestseller, published by Dearborn Trade in early 2005, which has exclusive interviews with 24 of today’s most popular authors, as well as interviews with top literary agents, editors and booksellers.  Inside Secrets to Venture Capital and Attracting Capital from Angels, both published by John Wiley & Sons, are his other two books, inspired by his ten year career as a consultant/advisor to small and mid-sized companies. He is also the co-author of the business planning system Business Plan Basics. He has written articles and has been interviewed as an expert in the venture capital industry for numerous regional and national publications including Entrepreneur Magazine, Smart Money, BusinessWeek online, and Business Journals in major cities across the US. He co-authored the cover story for the March 2005 issue and June 2008 issues of The Writer.

Dee Power also has an M.B.A degree. She has worked as a financial executive for the Governor's Office of Arizona, a retail firm and a major hospitality organization. Her hobby is gardening and football.

Accomplishments

Hill and Power have written over 100 business plans and reviewed hundreds more. They have advised thousands of entrepreneurs in their search for capital and preparation of their business plans.

They have established a database of over 700 venture capital companies and Small Business Investment Companies which is updated twice yearly.
